February 2020 - Travelling ark arrives on the tide from Clevedon!

It was a great night at Yatton Royal Ark Mariners. No less than 13 brethren from the Thackeray Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners accompanied their Commander, W.Bro Mike Fazackerley when he delivered that Travelling Ark into the safe hands of acting Commander Sandy Sandford. Commander of Yatton RAM, W.Bro Glyn Derrick was unavoidably absent but Sandy stepped in at very short notice and ably conducted the Elevation ceremony of Bro Mike Amos, who is the current secretary of George Norman Lodge of Mark Master Masons. A grand evening was enjoyed by all.

    31st October 2019. Installing Commander Sandy Sandford made an excellent job of installing his successor Glynn Derek in the Chair of the Lodge. The ceremony was watched by the Past Deputy PGM Ray Guthrie who was representing the PGM. The ceremony was followed by an excellent festive board enjoyed by all who attended.

    It was a pleasant evening with good company when the new Commander, Sandy Sandford was installed in the chair of the Lodge by Matt Westley. Sandy who was previously installed as the fifth Commander of the Lodge in 2015 took to his task like a duck to water! appointing his officers in fine style. The Provincial Grand Master, John Morgan was on hand to add gravitas to the whole evening.
