An Action Packed meeting at Mendip Mark 781

It was a busy and entertaining evening at the Mendip Mark lodge in Glastonbury on Tuesday 22nd October. The lodge was packed out including brethren visiting from all over the province and also five brethren attending as part of the newly formed Adventor Club. The lodge was also honoured by the presence of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, WBro Tony Guthrie.

The main event of the evening was to Advance Bro Roderick Kerr which was worked in great style and sincerity by the members of Mendip Mark headed by the Worshipful Master,  WBro Robert O’ Malley White. The Master was assisted by WBro Steve Defries who splendidly presented the signs and secrets, IPM  WBro Terry Wadham who presented the Keystone jewel and Bro Steve Davey who explained the Working Tools.

A special mention must go to the Senior Deacon,  Bro Richard Dallimore, who took the Advancee around the lodge with fortitude and sincerity.

A fantastic event by all the brethren involved.

Another pleasant duty was to present Grand Lodge Certificates to Bro Sean Sloan ( Inner Grand) and to Bro Richard Dallimore ( Senior Deacon) both of whom were newer members playing important roles during the ceremony!

The brethren then retired to a vibrant festive board , at the Avalon Club where the caterers provided a splendid meal for all to enjoy. It would be remiss  not to mention WBro Barry Davis,  the Director of Ceremonies who oversaw the evening’s proceedings,  which was enjoyed by all .

More good news for Mendip Mark Lodge, at the January meeting (21st, 2025), there will be another candidate for Advancement!
