Eldon Lodge receives the Travelling Keystone and a presentation from the TDI on the same night

It was very nice indeed to see over 60 people attend and thoroughly enjoy the Eldon Mark Lodge meeting on the 1st February. Eldon received the Travelling Keystone from the Master and Brethren of Carnarvon Lodge No 119, and a presentation of the Mark Tracing board from the Team of Development and Improvement (the TDI).

There was a chuckle when for a moment Priory Lodge was mentioned, but this was soon corrected and the the Travelling Keystone was then presented in time honoured tradition, and in a truly excellent and positive manner by the Worshipful Master and brethren of Carnarvon Lodge, well and truly proving the words used to present the stone, “the Keystone has travelled the Province since 1989 helping to create new friendships and strengthen existing ones.“.

With the presentation of the Travelling Keystone complete, the Team of Development and Improvement assembled and presented the lecture on the Mark Tracing Board. The TDI comprises of Brethren well able to deliver ritual, and unsurprisingly did so in their usual well rehearse manner. The team is ably led by Geoff Seaman, who is always keen to hear from good ritualists.

The Worshipful Master of Eldon Lodge, Mike Fazackerley, is a member of the team and can be seen below delivering part of the lecture.

Following the meeting everyone retired to the dining room for a delicious meal, and the usual convivial banter and conversation.

A raffle was held, which raised £237. This was made up to £250 from lodge funds, which was then match funded by the Province, making a total donation of £500 for the Bristol Heart Institute. Well done Brethren, well done Province.
