Following in his brother’s footsteps at Cerdic Mark

Wednesday 18th October witnessed the Installation of Steve Clift at Cerdic Mark 571 at Chard. Some 30 brethren were in attendance,  with the Provincial Grand Master presiding and supported by Steve McNaughton, the Provincial Director of Ceremonies.

The new Master was expertly installed by outgoing Master, and now Almoner, Alan Gitsham who was assisted by the new Masters brother, Ian Clift. who had himself been Master during the Covid-19 pandemic and who presented the keystone jewel.

It was nice to see that all the progressive Officers being installed were light blues, which along with he fact that both a joining member and an Advancee were proposed at the meeting, bodes well for the future of the Cerdic.

The PGM was pleased to welcome Bro John Nicholls into the Mark at Cerdic and presented him with his Grand Lodge Certificate.

The visiting brethren from Taunton,  Burnham and Seaton,  helped to make the meeting so much the better, as visitors always do.

The brethren,  then retired to the Phoenix Hotel next door, for a fine meal and festive board,  as always !
