Message from the Provincial Grand Master

Provincial Grand Master for Somerset, Phillip Voisey

Brethren, as we look forward to September and the start of the new Masonic season, we will embark on Year Two of being in the Festival.

Following the very successful BBQ at Hazelbury Mill, we aim to plan more events soon – watch this space! I am pleased to see many Brethren wearing the festival jewel, and the first batch of Festival tokens have all been snapped up. We now have another batch of tokens for sale at £10.00, and your Mark Lodge Charity Steward will soon have a few to sell. These make an ideal gift to candidates for Advancement from the Proposer.

The Provincial Charity Steward Val Cooke has Festival Jewels to sell and can help fill out the form if needed. Remember that by ticking the gift aid box, your donation is increased by 25% – not a bad return, and you will be halfway to the first MBF collarette.

On September 3rd, W Bro Bob O’Malley White will make his charity parachute jump. Not deterred by it being cancelled earlier this month, Bob has given up on jumping from 10,000 feet – he is now jumping from 15,000 feet! Please support Bob’s just giving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/robert-omalleywhite-3?utm_id=1&utm_term=nqZ3NQvAZ

The new slimmed-down Mark video will be released in September with standard-size business cards for you to pass to your Craft friends as a taster on the Mark Degree in Somerset.

Let’s all look forward to another enjoyable year. I value your company and friendship when I visit your Lodge, as we all enjoy the magic of the Mark Degree!
