Somerset Mark Masons Launch their 2028 Mark Benevolent Fund Festival in Grand Style

The Chairman of the 2028 Somerset Mark Festival, W Bro Richard Stone has praised all concerned in the organisation of the launch party for kick Starting the festival period.
160 Mark Masons family and friends gathered at the Batch County House on Friday 20th May to officially launch their MBF Festival period which cumulates with the Festival Finale in July 2028.
The Provincial Grand Master for Somerset, RW Bro Phil Voisey opened the celebrations and welcomed RW Bro David Ashbolt, the Deputy President of the Mark Benevolent Fund, and thanked him for his attendance.

During the evening, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, several fund-raising events were held, a marvelous raffle with fabulous prizes and a heads and tails contest organised by RW Bro David with the winner receiving a large cake with the Somerset Festival Jewel being decorated on it.
With other donations and some sponsorship by Somerset businesses, the evening raised just over £3,500 for the festival.

During the celebrations R W Bro David presented various Patronage awards to Lodge Charity Stewards or their representative, individual ones were also presented by him.
The launch was indeed a great start to the festival period, and everyone felt the evening was extraordinarily successful.
