1st September 2016 - Installation night The Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro John G Morgan was in attendance as Worshipful Commander Jim Nicol continued in the chair of the Lodge for a second year. Bro Richard Gale moves up to Senior Warden and the very experienced Peter Knapman comes back into the progression as Junior Warden. This evening also saw the departure of W.Bro Richard Baber (right) from the office of Scribe of the Lodge having held that office since Noah was a lad! Well since 2001. During the evening the Commander thanked Bro Richard for his sterling service to the Lodge during the last 15 years. He is succeeded as Scribe by W.Bro Mike Nathan (above left) who is also Scribe of Herbert Fuller Lodge and Somerset Commanders. Mike is now considering his future and thinking of turning pro. 3rd September 2015 - Installation night Worshipful Commander Richard Baker Installed Jim Nicol as Worshipful Commander of the lodge. At the meeting the new W.Commander presented the Deputy Provincial Grand Master Phil Voisey with a £400 cheque for the “Hope for Tomorrow” appeal. This charity provides a mobile chemotherapy bus & Somerset Mark Masons will be providing a new support vehicle to transport staff, drugs & sometimes patients to the outlying areas where it is stationed for that day.
The overall target to provide the vehicle is approximately £14,000. Cerdic Lodge only has 18 members at present & this is a huge gift from the lodge. Thank you brethren for a very nice evening which was enjoyed by all. Photo left, members of the Lodge and above Jim Nicol presents cheque to Phil Voisey. At our installation meeting on Wednesday Sept 1st 2011, Bro Kevin Aylott was installed as Commander in an exemplary manner by W.Bro Bill Newton. The meeting was attended by RW Bro David Nelson, Provincial Grand Master for Somerset. He was accompanied by Bro Andy Gray, Provincial Asst Grand DC. The meeting was a very happy occasion and the DC was very proud in the manner that the ceremony was conducted. (Despite the slanderous rumour that the Installing Master was working to the 1935 Ritual Book!) Peter Knapman.

Installation meeting 2nd September 2010. This was a special evening, celebrating not only the installation of a new Commander but the 25th Anniversary of the Lodge. Deputy PGM Ray Guthrie was in attendance to witness Mike Condick install his successor, Bill Newton in fine style. Immediately after the meeting a sherry reception was held for all the members and visitors, a chance to chat about the good times that the brethren have enjoyed in this wonderful Lodge. For more photos of the reception click here.
