Installation meeting 28th October 2011. At the October meeting of the William Long Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners all rose to welcome David Veale, Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank, representing our Provincial Grand Master David Nelson, he was accompanied by Provincial ADC Mark Golding at this the Installation Meeting of the new Commander.
    W. Commander John Smith performed an excellent Ceremony installing his successor Roger Hutchings, who had himself only recently recovered from a serious operation. The Inner Workings was conducted by John in an exemplary manner all brethren lucky enough to witness it were happily moved by its sincerity.
Roger appointed his Officers in a very easy manner, during which DC Trevor Cooper retired as Lodge DC after countless years in the Office, he was noticeably reluctant to hand his collar over!
The evening ended with a very pleasing Festive Board where the good feeling and happy atmosphere continued to the end.
